Hong Kong New Import Licencing Arrangement for Textile Products

In the past, the import of all textile and garments require import licence (Form 7) issued by the Trade and Industry Department of Hong Kong for every shipment.  Now effective from 22 December 2004, the local importers could apply the Comprehensive Import Licence (Textiles) for textiles and garments from non-sensitive markets (all the world excluding US and the Mainland China) which can cover multiple shipments imported by the licence holder, regardless of the product type, quantities, importing countries and country of origin of the goods.  The Comprehensive Import Licence (Textiles) will be valid for 12 months.
