Bangladesh Seeks Tariff-Free Export of Apparel to Malaysia

Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exports Association (BGMEA) appealed to the High Commission of Malaysia to allow Bangladesh garments tariff-free entering Malaysia.

Delegates from Bangladesh had a mission tour to Malaysia. They met with Malaysia’s High Commissioner. Main topics of discussion covering mutual co-operate, to understand the current import duty structure and relaxation of immigration procedure to promote the travel industry.

The delegates from BGMEA also requested for the list of Malaysian yarn spinning factories and textiles suppliers from the Malaysia High Commissioner.
