Free Occupational Safety & Health Training Programs

Introduction

Injuries, accidents and occupational diseases are very common in workplaces. These will not only incur loss of manpower but also a big sum of money. A safer and healthier work environment will increase the productivity and quality which will ultimately increase company profitability.

The Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994 provides the legislative framework to promote, stimulate and encourage high standards of safety and health at work. Training enables the employers and employees to understand the workings of safety management systems and the legal compliance required.

National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is one of the skill development center under Small Medium Industries Development Corporation (SMIDEC). NIOSH is now offering various OSH training programmes that will help the employers and employees to understand their own responsibilities and necessary actions to be taken towards creating a safe and healthy working environment.
