VIETNAM: Exemption of Entry and Exit Visa

Malaysia and Vietnam have agreed to grant exemption for entry and exit visas for both countries, citizens traveling between the two nations. The Agreement, which was signed by the two governments on 26 September 2001, will take effect on 27 November 2001. This is to allow the relevant government authorities to inform the respective agencies and departments of the new ruling for the effective implementation of the visa exemption. 

The said Agreement stipulates that citizens of the two countries will be exempted visa requirement for visits of less than 30 days for the purpose of tourism, journalism, business activities, family visits and sporting events.
